Welcome to Atelia
Atelia is a new platform built to connect independent fashion designers and small brands directly with manufacturing partners like you. Our mission is simple: make it easier, faster, and more affordable for emerging fashion brands to bring their ideas to life — while giving skilled manufacturers direct access to a growing pipeline of new clients, without the usual layers of intermediaries.
Traditionally, small and independent designers struggle to find reliable manufacturing partners willing to work with low order volumes. At the same time, many talented factories miss out on new business simply because they are not visible to this growing segment of the market. Atelia exists to close that gap.
How Atelia works
Atelia guides designers through the entire product development journey, from concept to finished goods:
1Design & ideation — Designers use Atelia's tools to develop their product concepts and moodboards.
3Manufacturer matching — Designers are connected directly with partners suited to their product type and order size.
4Direct communication — Designers and manufacturers communicate directly through the platform to clarify requirements.
5Sampling & approval — Manufacturers produce and ship samples before any bulk production begins.
6Production & fulfillment — Once approved, bulk production proceeds, with secure payment handled through the platform.

Our partner selection approach
To protect the trust of our clients and maintain a consistent standard across the platform, Atelia applies a simple, practical set of guidelines when reviewing manufacturing partners. These guidelines are designed to be realistic for small-batch production, without requiring costly certifications or audits that are often impractical at low order volumes. Not every factory will meet every point perfectly from day one — our goal is to build a partnership that grows stronger over time, together.
1. Order flexibility (low MOQ)
We look for manufacturers who can accommodate smaller production runs, ideally between 50 and 100 pieces per style. We understand this may not be your standard order size, and we are happy to discuss what is realistic for your operation.
—Ability to produce 50–100 pieces per style, or lower where possible
—Flexibility to split orders across sizes and colors within a single style
—Openness to smaller trial orders for new client relationships
2. Responsible & safe materials
Atelia's clients increasingly care about how their products are made. We ask partners to be transparent about the materials and chemicals used in production.
—Avoidance of restricted or harmful substances (for example, banned Azo dyes)
—Willingness to share basic information about dyes and chemicals used
—A simple description of how wastewater and production waste are managed
—Existing certifications such as OEKO-TEX or GOTS are welcomed, though not required to get started
3. Reliable sampling & development timelines
Clear, dependable timelines help us build trust with our clients and give your factory a stronger reputation on the platform.
—A realistic, agreed turnaround time for producing and sending samples
—Clarity on how many revision rounds are typically included before extra charges apply
—A dependable production lead time once an order is confirmed
4. Quality you can show us
We recognize that formal third-party audits are usually not practical for smaller production runs. Instead, we ask partners to share how they manage quality internally.
—A short explanation of your factory's own quality-checking process
—Willingness to share photos or short videos at key production stages when requested
—Openness to a short video call so our team can see your facility and process
5. Simple, honest product testing
Formal lab testing is often too costly and requires too many sample units for small orders. We ask instead for practical, in-house checks.
—Basic in-house checks such as seam strength and colorfastness (wash or rub test)
—Comparing finished measurements against the agreed size chart before shipping
—Confirming labels, size tags, and packaging match the client's order before dispatch
